The Nature of Isolation and Loneliness is a performative study and manifestation of isolation and loneliness. It is a collaborative choral piece for 10 voices created by the artist duo Philip | Schneider and the Finnish installation artist Hans Rosenström.  

The collaborative piece adresses the stigma of loneliness in a time engrossed in social media, self-staging, 'likes' and virtual friendships. We enter the farthest corners of the human brain, travel through the cells of the body and exit again with a renewed view on the community and the people around it. 

The Nature of Isolation and Loneliness was first commissioned by VEGA | ARTS in 2019 and has been performed live in several venues and public spaces in Denmark such as Store VEGA, CPH:DOX, Odense Opening Festival, Roskilde Festival.
Furthermore the piece has been presented as a spatial audio installation in KØS Museum as part of the group exhibition MONSTERSUPPE at KØS, 21 April – 26 July 2021.
